First time doing this..

Welcome to my first post! My name is Laura, and I am a 20-year-old junior at Valparaiso University. My roomie is Tina, and she is my best friend. While I enjoy hanging with her as much as possible, I also like sports--alot!! And my favorite part about sports is learning about them. I write for my school paper, and this year, my beat is the football team. Gotta love that! It's been awhile, I think, that a girl has written about football for the paper, so I feel honored and priveleged. As a sports fan, I have my favorite teams, including my hometown players--The Chicago White Sox. For college football, it doesn't really matter which team is playing...I just like watching the sport for love of the game. In participating in all of these sporting activities, I intend on becoming a sports anchor, maybe ESPN or my local Fox Sports Net. If that doesn't pan out, I want to write for a sports magazine...probably ESPN the Magazine. Anyway, although it seems like my life revolves around sports, I also have other activities. I love dancing, singing, boys (especially athletes) and getting involved with things on campus. But that's besides the point...I intend for this blog to include a variety of things, from talking about stuff at VU to sports rantings. So, if you have an idea or think I need to pick it up, let me know...Holla! ;)
